You might need to call your doctor and tell them about this itching. You could be having a reaction to a number of things, and no telling what it is. I don't believe itching is a normal reaction. I also had glue on my incision, but had no itching or any problem like that. Be sure not to touch the incision, so you don't get an infection. Let the doctor know.
thank all oyou guys, ITCHING ITS NORMAL O THE HEALING PROCESS,
i just spoke with the doctor,
plus search it on the internet sorry for posting here before doing that
I rested a cold pack on it, on top of my clothes. Calmed it down a treat.

Can I just say that the itching is normal, and that's what I thought.....however, turns out that the itching was due to me being allergic to the adhesive on the bandage. When doctor pulled off the bandage, i had such a rash and my skin came off along with the bandage and caused it to bleed and scab.....even more itching....not to scare you, but please don't just go by what the internet says....I made that mistake....double check with a professional and have them take a look. Wishing you good health Ginny USA NJ
Itching after any kind of cut to the skin is a normal part of the healing process, however, I don't believe it's normal less than a week after surgery. It usually happens as the incision starts to dry up. You talked to the doctor though, so looks like things are normal. I also would think it's more a reaction to either the glue in the incision, or the adhesive from the bandage. Bandage adhesive can be nasty to the skin. I often get similar reactions after being hooked up to EKG, when I remove the rubber pads that are used on my chest. The skin becomes red and inflamed and really itches. I don't believe a normal incision should itch until it has started to close and heal, and then it becomes dry and itches, but this seems too soon for that kind of itching. Wishing you the best...
Don't scratch it or rub it for a start. It could be the dressing. Did they put stera strips on it as well, if they did it could be those which are irritating you. If they did it may clear up when the dressing comes off. Hope so anyway.
glad you found out what it was that made you itch did they give you any thing to help it (Antihistamines )
