Hi all, just wondered if anyone with Psoriatic Arthritis gets itchy hands and feet?...no plaques of psoriasis...just itchy?

Also, does anyone get recurrent thrush on methotrexate?

I am 45 years old and was diagnosed with PsA in 2008. I was put straight onto mtx and in the main, it seems to work for me. I still get some pain for which I used to take naproxen, but it has been upsetting my stomach, so GP put me on etoricoxib 4 weeks ago. Could this be causing the itching I wonder?

Having almost constant thrush is driving me insane!

Would really appreciate your opinions

Look at where it asks whether it can cause problems.

I took MTX [Methotrexate] for 20 months & I forget about thrush,  I get it with whatever I take!  At one stage I was taking Fluconazole orally for a month at a time, that could well have been when I was on MTX.  I can just about control it now, by using Corsodyl mouthwash occasionally.  

I don't have PsA but a different skin disease.  

Have you tried taking something to protect your stomach, such as Omeprazole of Ranitidine?

If you only get oral thrush, try Corsodyl or a generic version, talk to your Consultant about the thrush

Thanks for your reply. I spoke to my doctor today who thinks a reaction to etoricoxib is unlikely. nevertheless she has told me to stay off them for a week, see if the itching improves, then reintroduce them. My thrush is not in my mouth! 😰She's prescribed me fluconazole to see it off ( until next time)😩
