I recently noticed a long, thin cut on the inside skin of my labia majora. The skin of the left side is very itchy and looks quite raw. I have been scratching in the night and am trying to stop this by wearing socks on my hands and cut my nails short. This has helped, but there is still a cut. I have been washing with warm water and was using vagisil but have stopped using this as I heard it is not always helpful. The itching hasn't gone away. Does this look like a cause for concern or will it likely heal and stop itching by itself if I can prevent scratching? I am wondering if it is an 'itch, scratch cycle' or something more serious?
For how long have you had it? it looks to be either yeast infection related or just hormonal. I sometimes get these and they usually go away after a week or so. try a hydrating vulvar cream and if it doesn’t go away try to contact a doctor.
u could hsve yeast infection take an OTC pessary and use a moisturizing cream and shower emollient and maybe somethin for the itching. ive had these before theyre a bugger
