Itchy scalp with lichen planus

Foes anyone have anything that helps with the maddening , hot itch that comes with lichen planus on the scalp?

Hello wandula, 

I used to suffer terribly with itchy scalp but my dermatologist recommended Oilatum shampoo followed by a conditioner.  Since using this procedure the problem has gone.  Hope this works for you!

Thanks for this. Have you been diagnosed with Lichen Planus to is this for another condition?

Unfortunately I have Lichen sclerosis and lichen planus!

I will try the Oilatum. Have some small patches of hair loss, fortunately have very thick hair. Steroid mousse and liquids make no difference and the itch drives me crazy. Bizarrely it vanished when I was on holiday but came back as soon as I came home again. I ate and drank everything going and used all sorts of shampoos on holiday . Only thing different was the sun . Possibly different water ? Who knows.

My scalp can be okay all day and the suddenly the itch starts in the evening . Does anyone else find this happens ? I am convinced certain goods trigger it .
