I had scalp surgery nearly a year ago for a basal skin cancer. The surgery was successful but I am left with some slow to heal scabs and a very itchy scalp. My scalp tends to be dry. I need help with what to use.

It might be a good idea to use a shampoo that uses a less irritating type of detergent.
Shampoos with sodium lauryl sulphate, can irritate the skin. So maybe try to use a shampoo that has a different detergent than SLS.
If that doesn't help, you could try a shampoo that is sulfate-free. These can be more expensive though.
