About two weeks ago i started noticing these bumps around my body, they are super itchy. they are mainly on my thighs, knees, stomach, shoulders, arms and hands and back. its not a crazy amount of them but some have gone away and others appeared. not sure if they are hives, ive been taking antihistamines and it seems to calm down the itching but i get more itchy at night especially when i wake up. some of the spots you can see have flaky skin. also some look like they have lines almost like its a hair coming out but its not a hair, if i scratch it the line comes off so its almost like a small scab. any info would be helpful. thanks
I see you posted this 7 days ago, so you may have already found the answer. To me it looks like scabies and you should consult your doctor or pharmacist. you should be able to buy medication to put on this but you do have to treat as much of your body as you can and if you are living in a household they should all be treated as well as it is highly contagious. Then in a week you have to do the treatment again to make sure all the mites are dead. if the rash is persistent you may have to do a third treatment. If you have a sexual partner they should also be treated.
You should stay away from as many people as possible until you have started the treatment. Especially babies and anyone in a vulnerable condition and Wash all bedding and clothes at as high a temperatuere as possible…at least 60deg for underwear and bedding.
Its not dangerous but it does need treating properly to stop the mites being passed on..
