Its back

Hey everyone. I've always felt embarrased speaking about my IBS  but I'm pretty frustrated at this point and I'm looking for some advice.I suffered from IBS-D for about a year, 3 years ago. I watched what I ate for a year straight and one day decided to teat myself to some ice cream, it didn't bother my stomach so I kept trying things that would usually bother me. 3 years later, havent been bothered by the IBS. But come last week, it is back, full blown, I feel like I did when it first began years ago. I was the same amout of stressed out then, as I am now, maybe even less stressed out now, so it can not be stress related. I have no idea what to do. My doctor is backed up for a month so I cant even see him. I'm eating bland again but its still bothering m. Imodium has bcome by best friend. Anyone have this happen to them?

Have you tried working out what you ate that caused on your IBS-D

I suggest if you drink warm water everyday before morning and after eating, don't drink water until half an hour later until your foods digested, then drink warm water.

If eat something that triggered drink peppermint tea straight away. It will help smooths your IBS

Have you been taking Probotic or kefir?

IBS can make stress worse, as it can triggered by hormones, or anxiety.

Hope it helps x

Some people have long periods of remission with IBS and then it can suddenly come back.  Maybe experimenting with trigger foods has slowly begun to irritate your stomach without causing any symptoms at first but has taken this long to finally cause a flare up.

I had an ice cream at the weekend and the same thing happened to me. Have you been to your GP?

I will try the pepermint tea. Thank you.

In the past I would take probiotic vitamins and drink kefir.

I should start again.

I also suffer from panic disorder so I think it my be an issue as well.

If you got panic disorder? Did the doc give you anything to take?

I took magnesium with b6 for my anixety, it does help, magnesium is good for everything anxiety, panic, nervous system, pms and moods, even sleep

Yeah kefir is great, better than yogurt

Hope you get better soon x

I take zoloft for my anxiety and even though it is usuall prescribed for depression it works great for me.
