Hip surgery
Sorry you are having pain. What does your orthopedic surgeon say?
Je said everything looked fine I didn't exercise as I shouldve cause of the pain he said it might be my muscles tighten up if that is the cause what can I do now. It's going on 5 and a half months and I feel like I will not ever walk again
Perhaps a second opinion and physical therapy. Just not right after 5 1/2 months. You should be pretty much walking pain free
Thank you I think I will. I wish there was some magic trick to loosen up the mucles.and nerve
Jaki my dear sorry about your in pain yes second opinion is good to know what is going on in your body .
You will pass through this and you will walk pain free be well
Big hug😍
Sometimes pool therapy can help. Have you given any thought to something like that?
dear jackie,
warm welcome to this forum of hippies, where we share our personal strories and experiences ...
can you tell us a little bit more about yourself ?
can you put all your weight on your leg without pain? do you also have pain when you are not walking?
where is the pain located ? in the hip or the muscles -
I agree with other members here to get a 2nd opinion and have it checked out to make sure everything is in place -
when was the last time you saw your surgeon? it could be weakness of muscles but maybe something is loose -
you can always come here and talk, okay ...
you are not alone ..
big warm hug

This is such a wonderful supportive group of ppl here on this forum. I'm glad I found it :-)
Hang on in there it's probably muscle pain . At 7 months mine is FINALLY decreasing .. at 5 months was bad . Private massage to loosen rock hard muscles and second round physio to strengthen groin muscles ... I reckon it takes up to a year to be pain free but they don't tell u that !
Thank you see what I can do
I'm so sorry you are in pain. I myself am in pain as well. It's my lower spine. I am post 5 months of my right hip and 8 months of the left and my lower back is killing me. At first, it was just my hips that was stiff which I was told is normal and may take up to a year but now it's my back. Smh. I hope things get better for us! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jackie, poor you.Have you tried a hydrotherapy pool.or a spa ? I would urge you to ask your phsyio.Where did you have your Op? Please don't over do things.regards regards Amanda h
Still experiencing pain after 5months mean there is problem and it can lead to severe bad conditions if no solution action is taken, it possible there is still injuries that has refused to get heal. This happened to a my niece, there was a creme and medication that solve the problem for her.
You can massage me for better discussion or send me your email to give you the names and where u can find them.
I would demand some physio. I was walking stick free after 7 days and back at work after 3 weeks.
Completely pain free since...well on one side...waiting for the other hip op now.
Good luck x
