Its ok to have both hip replacement in 1 month

Helo i need a thr on the right side, the dr said that eventually i will need the same in the left, so he preffer to do it now ,,, as is already in pain and stifness

not a lot but pain every day.

He szid as i am healthy and young he can do both in a period of 2 weesks like one and then 2 weeks after the second one,,,,

He will use a big ball as i am kind of big not heavy but big plus he said that way is less dislocation adivcees

Hi

Well I suppose he knows what he is doing but it takes 6weeks of restrictions {never mind healing} where you cant twist, or bend and lots of things like that

Cant see how he'll do another hip replacement in 2 weeks without breaking the 90 degree rule

Good Luck

i ask hima bout that he said that he knwo how ot move the leg,

and also i seen people in 2 weeks walking without any help, but they do put alot of effor tin phisio,,

Hello,

Oh dear not sure if that's a good idea or not. as it's very traumatic. Personally speaking I think it's bad enough for the body to cope with one THR let alone two.

Good luck & keep us posted

i know but i have been asking aorund and aparently there a lot  of people doing it, i mean iw ill ahve to o it  i just dont want to be in pain again an stop my life  in about 4 month again,, the dr said aftetr 2 week i should be ok to put all my weight in the first one

Hi

After 2 weeks you will be able to put your weight on both ....yes but what about the restrictions or are the completely different?

I was not allowed to bend {past the 90 degree angle} for 6 weeks, had to sleep obn my back for 6 weeks, not allowed to twist, If I fot to the end of the room you had to make about 3 or  different motions to turn the opposite way. Not just the usual spinning round in one movement.

I do hope it works

Keep us updated

Hi

I'm in the UK so I suppose the rules are different.

Most of the hospitals here give you a booklet with all the DO's and Dont's and exercises to do.

Good Luck
