I’ve noticed recently that there is a lot of discharge in my opening. I’m not really sure if that is normal. Even after I have cleaned it, there is still stuff there. I’m not really sure if it is an infection.

it could be yeast infection!
is the discharge causing you to itch and does it have a sweet or fishy smell ? if its fishy it is most likely BV. sweet is generally a yeast infection. Have you taken any antibiotics lately ?
