I’ve been having right side pain that moved up and lost my appetite, what should I do?

This all started the time I was PMSing I got a bad pain in the right side of my stomach. I was worried sick for a week then got over it but then I kept feeling the pain it was dull, ever since I started worrying I’ve had no appetite idk if it’s because of the fear of what it could be or because there is actually something wrong with me. Now I am still feeling small pain there but it moves up to my upper abdomen and I still have no appetite. Please help I am a 19 year old female and have anxiety about hospitals. I haven’t been in agonizing pain but I can’t stop worrying about what’s wrong with me.

Hi. Did you have your appendix removed? If you did not, you should go to the doctor, because pain in the right side could mean appendicitis. It might be something else less severe, such as an ovarian cyst or IBS, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Worry can make you lose appetite.  However, to stop your worry and get answers about your symptoms, your best solution is to see your doctor even though you are anxious about hospitals.  I have great anxiety about anything medical and I try avoiding doctors as much as possible.  However, when my bowel habits changed and I developed constant abdominal pain, I was so frightened I went straight to my doctor which heightened my anxiety at first when there was no diagnosis for me for three and a half months.  However, once I found a doctor who diagnosed my symptoms as IBS,  I was so relieved that my constant worry and symptoms cleared up.
