ive been on prozac 10mg for 14 days. and my anxiety is still bad. plus im.super tired all day.

Should i keep going? Because im ready to quit.

Its very early days for the prozac to be helping still.

Try to hold on a while longer. With prozac it is said that you often feel worse before feeling better and it takes from 6-8 weeks for the medicine to level off in your system,many people find full benefits even later, it seems like a long time but its worth the wait. Many people seem to find tiredness and anxiety increased when starting prozac (me included) but You have probably been through the worst already, some side effects should start easing off on your 3rd week.

When do you take the pills? And have you been in regular contact with your doctor? 10mg is quite a low dose maybe you could up it?

Im on my 5th week now and im just starting to see the changes, its taken a while but it feels amazing to realise that maybe i can be ok. My anxiety has been awful and was difficult to deal with in the first few weeks, specially in the morning and at night. But it's gotten so much better. I started on 20mg and was moved up to 40 last week. Its just looking back that i can see the changes, they sort of creep up on you slowly. Its definitely worth it. This week i have also found im starting to have lots more energy,before i was exhausted by 13:00 , and then struggled through the rest of the day, the past few days ive been up an active until night time. Big difference.

I know it may seem like a long difficult road but it will get easier and better. Try to give the med the time to work and then you can always up the dose or change if it doesnt work for you. But time is key here.

I was on it a month and I've spent around 2 weeks in bed with Flu like symptoms , anxiety is worse than ever - so I decided rightly or wrongly to go cold turkey . I feel day 3 a 100% better , I'm going to start this week 2x yoga glasses and see if this will be a better option

I'm so glad to see your progress - well done and thanks for sharing. I'm a week or so ahead of you but feeling a few weeks behind, starting to have a few good hours a day but still so tired all the time. Did the increase really help? Would you recommend going from 20 to 40?
