I'm 25, female, no smoking, drinking or drugs. It all started in November. I was sitting down watching TV with my husband and I suddenly felt extremely faint. My heart was pounding, my left arm went numb, I found it hard to breath and everything looked weird. I said to my husband, "I'm having a heart attack". We rushed to the ER and they did an EKG which came back normal. I was shocked. I really thought I was dying. The following days I was still slightly lightheaded. However, after a few days I felt perfectly fine again. I even joked about how crazy I was to think I was dying. I thought maybe it was just a random anxiety attack or something. Then, a few days later, it happened again. I felt the exact same way. I had to excuse myself to the bathroom because we had guests over. I was terrified again. It passed and I felt better for a couple more days. This has been going on since November. I'm fine then I'm sick. I haven't found any specific thing that triggers these " attacks ". I stay at home with my children and a few times I've had an episode at home alone with them and I've been tempted to call 911. I'm so scared I'll pass out or die while they're in my care! I've had blood work done (anemia, thyroid, glucose) and everything is normal. I did have a UTI (my fourth one since having my daughter almost 2 years ago) but I took antibiotics for that. I also had a full abdominal ultrasound because I've been having a sharp pain in my upper left side under my ribs. That was normal too which was surprising because I still feel the pain and sometimes it's intense. Can anyone PLEASE give me advice???? Any ideas what this could be???
My symptoms are:
Feeling very hot for no reason, especially when bending down or feeling very cold. No in between.
Shortness of breath
Fatigue, hard to get out of bed
Flushed face right before "attacks"
Episodes of feeling faint, lightheaded, weird vision, numbness in left arm and leg
It sounds like a balance problem to me.. What I'm suffering with. Google labyrthinitis or BPPV!! Just thought it was worth a mention.
Are you under any form of stress or tension? I had panic attacks with the symptoms you described and they found nothing wrong. Once it happens you get worried about it happening again, and then it does.
what is your diet like, are you getting enough sleep?
sometimes we can have stuff going on in our subconcious and then when we get a symptom we have never experienced, it is scary.
You should go back to,your GP and ask them for more information.
