Well , waited 12 weeks for a tall , dark , handsome man to help me in and out of the bath. No volunteers so I did it myself this afternoon after a spot of gardening . Managed ok but easier in shower .

Baths are fun...even better with two in the bath when your prince charming comes!
Just had second bath and this was with me alone in house so happy to say easily got out of the bath by myself.
The post op check is in 10 days time so have not got permission to have a bath yet, but assuming physio would be happy with my doing g this!

Mary, so happy for you..May I ask are you still observing 90 degree rule while getting in and out, and if so, how do you do it?
Hi Dawn , am being very caring but not so concerned about rule now . Sat on side of bath then put good leg in followed by bad then sat down .
Difficult bit was standing up again , luckily I have a bath with handles .
Getting out I stood up onto goid leg
turned around slowly
sat on side and put good leg out first .
Hope you understand. .
I was shattered after so will prob shower instead .

i managed to use the over bath shower for the first time today -how fragrant we all are now!

Years, my daughter says I'm too picky and I'll be waiting another 15 years...maybe I should be looking to other countries to widen my search???

Hi everyone. I'm 2 years post op and it took me over 18 months to get in bath and only did it once as I couldn't get out! I have spinal problems too and I'm also 6week post TKR. I can just about climb in bath as I have an over bath shower but think I might be heading down the 15 year route like Patricia haha (in the bath though). How do people sleep witha THR when they have a partner I'm curios...I sleep alone I couldn't bear the thought if anyone hurting me
I sleep alone as well and would feel sorry for anyone trying to sleep with me what with pillows here there and everywhere and tossing and turning!
