I’ve feel so down lately. Depressed, so lonely no one to talk to.

i feel so low, my depession has gone through the roof. i work in a care home. and i have to care for my partner. i dont know what to do.

sorry you are feeling so down. you have a lot of responsibility and sometimes it can get overwhelming especially now.
have you ever considered free online counseling? Not sure where you live but if you Google free online counseling you may be able to find one.
if you are caring for people with the virus, try to remember that it will get better eventually. I know it’s easy to say, but it will all start to slow down. Try to take one day at a time and not look too far ahead. At home, remember to take some time for yourself. I’m sure it’s not easy but even if it’s just 10 or 15 minutes here or there it would make a difference for your physical and mental health.keep yourself hydrated, eat healthy.
I have been doing some yoga from YouTube that helps a lot. It calms down the mind. Also on YouTube you can find some great meditations for when you lay down to sleep. There are a lot for depression, anxiety, sleep etc.
. We all have to remember that the only way we can help others is if we first take care of ourselves. Otherwise we can’t really help anybody else if we get run down, sick and depressed.

well coming to this forum is a good start. whatever i get lonely and depressed i come to this forum to give and get advice and it always helps. it puts your mind in another place and you dont feel as alone, because you realize you are not alone and there are many others out there like you. it can put your mind at ease for hours thinking about how to comment to peoples problems on this forum. getting out of your normal, dull, boring routine can be a good thing. i must tell you that with depression, if you feel like you are going to hurt yourself because you are hopeless, you should seek medical help and fast. but coming here to this forum is a great start. scroll through the posts, see who you can help, and then give them advice. you are helping them while helping yourself. its a win, win for everyone. hope that helps.

hi Jan Have you found any particular you tube meditation that you can recommend for evening listening? I am on sertraline and still getting used to it.
