I have sharp shooting pains on outer left breast ONLY when I bend over (to brush teeth, pick up shoes or newspaper, etc). I’m 66 year old post menopausal woman (via surgery 25 years ago) and am on hormone replacement therapy. this pain began sharply and suddenly 10 days ago with no specific action to bring it on. when I am not wearing supportive bra, I must hold breast when I brush teeth or if I do any bending over action. I have no idea what this could be as I’ve had regular mammograms and have never had any issues.
Have you received any diagnosis on this? Would love to know since I am experiencing the same symptons.
I am experiencing the same thing. When I am wearing a bra I am fine. When I'm laying in bed, I'm ok. But if I bend over without a bra on, I get a very sharp pain on the outside of my left breast - it makes me gasp. I've only had it a couple of days. I have a lot of back problems including scoliosis and arthritis in my back. I think some degenerative discs as well. I'm wondering if there is a connection. My breast has no lumps and otherwise seems the same as always.
I have this too. Been surfing around the net to make sense of it. How are you all going on? Did it go away? Did you see doc?
I had my pain after surgery and later I was told by my surgeon that during the surgery, they have me on my stomach and the operating table has a cut-out for your breasts. So they are hanging down and not supported during the surgery which may cause short-term pain later. After a few weeks, and wearing a good support bra, my pain went away. Hope you find relief.
