I have not had trouble with my jaw but do get pains in the shoulders I expect it will depend on which vertebrae you have it in
Hi
Pain in, or below, shoulder blade is quite common with spondylosis (cervical). It should settle down, and disappear, after a few weeks...maybe sooner. If it continues, or the pain starts affecting your arm, you might want to ask your GP for a referral for an MRI of neck area to detemine the possible cause.
There shouldn't really be any jaw issues related to C/S. That might well be a dental issue playing up which needs checking.
i have spondylitis in both my neck and back and i have recently developed TMJ; severe pain in my jaw. i have been wearing a mouth guard for over a month now but this has not reduced the pain. still waiting to see the specialist
Hi Angela,
I have cervical spondylosis and about 2 years ago I had several instances where I had a sudden rush of pain in middle of chest rising upwards and into jaw, where I could not move. My doctor had my heart monitored, nothing was found and she put it down to anxiety. Since then I have had only a couple of incidents recently of this. I suggest if you have not been to docs to go asap. Hope your feeling better.
Hi Angela. I get jaw pain mostly when my neck is really bad. It aches all along my jaw and especially at the joint. The jaw pain is because we are tensing our muscles due to other pain. Try doing a relaxation meditation. It does help if you learn to relax.
