Jock Itch/Scrotum Rash

I have been prescribed a steroid cream for a scrotum rash as my doctor believes I have Eczema. The Itching has reduced over a few days but not dissapeared.

I believe that is is a fungal infection as a partner told me she had a yeast infection after me.

I am confused as to whether the steroid cream is working because it is very oily therefore the area is always moist. The itching seems to be slightly better when the cream is not present and the area is dry.

Am I going down the same route? Does it matter if it is Eczema or Yeast?

Please help!

hiya,

it sounds like fungal to me, theres a big difference between eczema and fungal, its more than likely thrush, use some canesten for womens thrush, even athletes foot cream will work it has the same antifungal ingredient, you both need to treat it as it will be passed back and forth if you dont.

let us know how you go on

Thank you for the reply,

Unfortunatley I have tried Canesten Duo, miconazolnitraat, and Terbinafine! All two weeks each :-(

Also apple cider vinegar, Eating Garlic

:-(

Have you tried Canesten HC, which is Clotrimazole and hydrocortisone in a cream. A few years ago, I kept getting thrush and my GPs didn't really have a clue, so they suggested I went to the local GUM clinic and the Doctor there gave me the anti fungal with hydrocortisone cream and you may find that it would help if you treat your partner too. And, when you can, let the air get to the area!

You have probably sorted it out by now!!
