Just abouts to take my first one

Im just abouts to take my first orlistat and im worried about what will happen,i have heard mixed messages about taking it and suppose i am a little curious, and wether you do lose weight on these, can anyone give me abit of information about what they have experienced on theses and whether you do lose alot of weight on them thanks

I am only on week 3 however will share my experience so far with you

I have lost 4 lb in 2 weeks - I was on weight watchers for 5 months and did not lose this much there so am pretty pleased so far

Regarding the horror stories you may have read the message is simple - dont overdo the fat and you wont suffer the side effects!

It is recommended that you eat around 10 - 15g fat per meal so check every label on food. Remember that it is the total fat you need to check as even good fat has consequences if you over do it. They also say not to eat foods that have over 5g of fat per 100g so check that out too

Also register with MAP. It is a function set uo by Roche (the tablet's makers) for support from nursing staff. I got my 1st call from the nurse yesterday who advised me to drink plenty of water and keep to a low fat diet.

Be aware that some food may trigger a reaction on you that other people dont suffer from though I would suggest that if you keep within your fat limits then you will be OK

I had a really bad orange oil experience this morning so will pass on the advice of NEVER TRUST A FART!!! I have been gassy but no accidents for the last 2 weeks but today had an accident. I have not yet been able to pinpoint what caused it - could it have been the sunflower seeds I snacked on yesterday?

Another tip which is not a scare tactic, merely good sense is that until you find your feet with these then take spare knickers, pants and wipes to work with you. I work from home so dont have the worry of a possible accident outdoors however it may just be worth bearing in mind

The other side to that is that I ate a healthy balanced diet for my 1st week and suffered no side effect, it was only when I ate pork crackling last week that I had my 1st experience

One really good thing these tablets have done for me is make me much more aware of what I put in my mouth

Good Luck with them, so far I am happy on mine

Thanks for that bit of advice, well ive taken my first one and guess this is the start to my new life no more being fat!!!

I'll drink (a glass of water!) to that!!! :P
