Just an update on my Aobiagoraph

I think its important to write successes down as much as questions and queries. I got so much inspiration from readin peoples stories.

Anyway Feb 17 to August 17 I couldnt leave my front door. Today im making trips ten miles from home. I know its not a lot but its a step in the right direction.

Things that helped were.

1. Citalopram (Check with docs) Balanced my Hormones

2. CBT You can get this free on NHS and definitely worth the wait

3. Meditation even five mins a day

4. Cut out people who had grown apart from

5. Quit gambling, excessive sex

6. Practised gratefulness

7. Saw a therapist to help me clear past emotional issues/traumas

Hope everyone is well

Sorry meant to say Agoraphobia lol

What is NHS?

Good for you! 10 miles is a lot compared to 0! It's nice to see posts like this for a change. Def feel proud of yourself, sounds like you're doing a lot of work to feel better!

Thanks Philly. That means a. Lot. I'm nowhere near cured yet but one day I'm hoping lol thanks for the kind words do you suffer with it. Hope everything is well with you.

National health service it's in the UK. I know there's different forms in other countries of it. Where are you from??

Oh ok! I’m from the U.S.

Yep I've had anxiety issues for almost 10 years now. I also had a bout of agoraphobia too once. But like you, I see a therapist, practice mediation, and use xanax on the really bad days. It has helped and over the years it's gotten a lot easier/better. Still not cured though, and probably never will be fully cured lol, but that's okay. I'm just glad I'm doing better with time and practice! =) It's nice to see others feel the same way.

Wow good for you. You sound like you work hard at it as well. It's not easy is it but I feel the more you practise and do the right thing the better you get in my opinion only lol. Keep swimming lovely to talk to people who know what it's like 😊
