I am si scared, been in pain for months, taking Naproxlen and co codamol ,but still in pain, how bad is it going to get
Hello chris please don't be scared. You'll get a lot of support from everyone on this forum. It's difficult to know how bad it's going to get, if at all. Everyone is different and it doesn't necessarily mean you are going to be in pain all the time. There are periods of remission. Firstly have you seen a Rheumatologist? Sometimes it's just the GP telling you it's RA as in my case.
Hi Marton, having blood tests on the 9th march, not sween a Rheumatologist yet, think doctor is waiting to make sure
And there's Lupus which is what I have got. It was diagnosed by a rheumatologist after my GP convinced me I had RA. Chris you need to see a rheumatologist. Absolutely insist on it, I wish I had! Guidelines stipulated that where RA is suspected a referral to a rheumatologist should be made straight away with or without raised Rheumatoid Factor.
i have been suffering for months, arms are so weak and feel so scared that i wont be able to keep working,he says its spreading through my body ,hopefully after blood test he will know more,he started me on vitamin D tablets as i lost both thumb nails, when pressure in on my thumbs my nails split and come off
All the more reason you need to see an expert, a rheumatologist.
going for pain injections for shoulders on wednesday so will ask about seeing a Rheumatologist
I had a steroid injection 2 weeks ago. Definitely helped the pain. Good luck.
