I just got diagnosed with genital herpes. As soon as I left the doctor, I researched everything to know about herpes. I felt a. It at ease because all I ever knew about herpes were over over exaggerated stories in horrible judgments. I was so paranoid that the guy that I'm with was going to be scared and just drop me but thankfully enough he understood and he said that he would never leave me alone with this. That made me feel so much better because I already suffer with depression and if I found out that he didn't want to be with me anymore I would've just completely lost myself. I started getting fevers two days ago on Monday today is a Wednesday I still have fluctuating fevers the doctor gave me some pain medication i went off and bought some Tylenol all that's really done to suppress the fever it's still hasn't completely gone away just earlier my fever was at 97 and it climbed to 99 then100. I took a nap and now it's back to 96 but I can slowly feeling getting hotter. The doctor also gave me medication to help with the infection but my main concern is urinating and making bowel movements. The pain while urinating is excruciatingly painful I have never been in this kind of pain before it made me cry so bad that my temperature rose up and I got super red I was afraid that I was going to have a panic attack. My doctor told me to pour some water while I'm urinating down my vagina so that it dilutes the urine but still it is so painful. Is there any other advice to relieve this pain I already have diaper rash cream and I put it on and it doesn't really do the job. My other problem is making bowel movements I have not been able to make a bowel movement since Monday it hurts so much because it's irritating the lesions. When I do try I end up squeezing out drops of mucus and brown discharge. I bought stool softener and it's still not helping I am scared that I might get sick from all this constipation. Please somebody give me some advice for me as this is the first time getting an outbreak. I am embarrassed and upset with myself but I'm slowly coming to terms with this virus I'm mainly upset with all the discomfort and pain that comes with it if anybody has any advice to help ease my discomfort please let me know.
I'm confused, have uh ad herpes for a while or just recently received it from your partner?
Constipation is serious I suggest you go to doctors, in the mean time try drinking prune juice or get some laxatives? Try get on some vitamins to strengthen the immune system and will help your body fight future outbreaks. Cream is good but you need to dry out at the sores I used to use baking soda which stings at first.
ask your dr to give u a script called phenazopyridine 200mg it helps with the pain with urinationg some doesnt take it all the way away but it helps alot it will trun your pee orange and yellow dont be alarmed im goin thru the same thing myself i am on tylenol 3s for my back but i also take em for pain down there take a vitamin called l-lysine also everyday people also say eat pineapple get flushable wipes and i recently got a new body wash its johnsons baby moisturizing body was 1/3 cream it also helps some
Thank you.
I was able to pass a small mass of what appeared to be...poop. That was it. It had some white spots in it which I assumed was some mucus. I'm still a bit constipated but I'm drinking juice that should help me go more.
Thank you.
I've been urinating in a tub of warm water. It such a relief but now I'm starting to have some heavy bleeding as if I started my period but I just finished my period two weeks ago.
id deff call your dr about that
I understand the pain you are going through cause i recently went through the same situation..and about bowel movement..you will have to have courage and strength and pass it out..same with urination..i trained mslef to urinate atleast every 6 hours when i was having the outbreak But i always did pass..yes it did sting but i had to go pass it..if not il cause more pain to myself..also try pouring cold water when urinating and when you defecate after that you pour some warm water..it helps. Make sure you eat foods high on vitamin C and lots of veges and friuts...
Take care and all the best..
Thank you for responding.
It may seem like too much information but today I was finally able to make a bowel movement! Such a relief. It had been a week of constipation. I am making a follow up appointment with my dr next week. My ulcers have suppressed but I'm still bleeding a lot. I'm having to wear pads now.
This sounds exactly like my first outbreak. It was awful, I was on the brink of committing suicide because the pain and emotional trauma was just too much to endure. To give you an idea, my gyno told me my outbreak was one of the worst she had ever seen. I was laid up in bed for a month on medication waiting and hoping for this curse to pass. I had difficulty urinating, my only option was to pee in a bathtub, which is humiliating to say the least. The hot water is supposed to take the edge off some how, it always hurt but I suppose it helped a little. I think it was also advised that I used something like baking soda in the water, but you might have to check with your doctor to make sure that's correct. As for making a BM, it was severely painful. The medications you will take to address your pain will have the side effect of constipation, which is exactly what you don't need at a time like this. Take stool softeners on the side but I caution -anybody who's going through this- that when you do make a BM it might be very painful. I ended up with numerous cuts and an anal fissure from passing a BM after almost weeks without one. My doctor prescribed me with a numbing cream that would allow me to go the bathroom without feeing the pain. It took me a long time to fully recover from my first outbreak. I hope you're well on your way to feeling better and hopefully you're one of the lucky ones who never has to deal with this demon again.
Did the numbing cream help when you started using the bathroom.
