My partner has just been diagnosed with Plantar Fascitis by a Podiatrist. He has had a problem with his feet for nearly 10 years and only just had it diagnosed! In the past he had some deep tissue massage on his arches which the Podiatrist said would have made the problem worse. If only he had been diagnosed earlier. He has been given some Vasyli insoles which he needs to gradually wear in. Has anyone found wearing insoles has got rid of the condition? His condition is made more complicated by the fact that he has a connective tissue disorder called Hypermobility Syndrome. This can effect the ability to heal and make muscle injury more common. It has been explained to him that it could take months for his feet to fully heal. Hopefuly he can finally have his feet sorted out as he has now got to the point where he can't walk on them for very long. Currently he is unable to walk at all on his feet as they have severely strained from wearing the new insoles!

Hi I also suffered from plantar for many years and can understand what your partner is going through.I went and seen a Podiatrist also and like your partner was supplied insoles which i found took ages to shape to my feet to ease the pain.However i did find insoles on ebay that are from australia and are really good and have helped me alot as they mould to the shape of your feet and when they flatten out you put them in hot water and they are ready for use again.
