I was just diagnosed with HSV1 & Im having my first outbreak (which around my anus) so does that mean with each outbreak that’s where it’ll be?? I’ve had these sores since last Friday & they are getting worse but the other day my lip was itching and tingling. Does that mean ill get a cold sore?? So my outbreaks will be on my anus and lips?? How often does one get an outbreak?? I’m on ACYCLOVIR & my DR said once I finish the bottle I dont have to tAKE this medicine daily BUT if I dont, will I experience more break outs ??

i have hsv2
so outbreaks can pop up anywere really! they day in the boxer short region so genital, thighs, anus, and buttock! personally ive just had them on my labia! but they can pop up anywere!
the tingly is usually a sign.. but i found at the start that i was associating any kind of feeling with a prodrome! i think i was making the feelings happen because i thought about it so much!
hsv1 on the gentials is usually less severe but you still may have a flair up and shedding! take the antiviral to clear it up and then give your body time to see wether you need suppressive therapy or not! some people choose to use take antivirals at each attack!
