Is it normal for the top of my foot to sting so much? My cast was removed today and I was out on an air boot and it's really hurting the top of my foot even though it was my ankle that was broken. Is this normal?
Hi Melissa. Good news about getting rid of the cast. Once I went into the boot there seemed to be lots of new aches n pains. Think it's because the cast restricts a lot of things but once boot is on there's a lot more room. I got told a lot if the pain was to do with the blood flow and nerves now starting to regenerate. I had a lot of burning pain on the top of my foot and in my toes, still get a bit now even though I'm out of everything. I find gentle massage helps, especially my toes. Hi, I agree with Sandra, I had similar experiences, and it is due to nerves being stimulated differently. Massage, anti-inflammatory cream helped. and time. good luck.
