Just got the date for my op

Hi all, well i've just got the date for my op, it's on friday 13th october so not long for me to sit and worry about it, my only issue now is that i've got my pre op on tuesday and now i've got a cold, so not sure if the op will go ahead because of it. It's the first cold i've had all year and it has to be now, so hows that for bad timing. just my luck. Fingers crossed i can get rid of it by Tuesday.

Hi Lorraine, having a cold now should not stop your op, as long as on the day you do not have a temperature they will do it. I had a cold a week before mine but was fine on the day.

Hi

I had an horrendous cold at my pre op and she said as long as it had cleared up by op day it would be fine.

Take strong vitamin c rest up and hopefully it will have cleared by Tuesday good luck

Hi Denise Lorraine, I was told as long as it was minor and you were getting over it, it would be fine. You still have 5 days. Just make sure you don't accidentally cut yourself or something equally as daft, as that has a good chance of halting things too.

Hi Denise what area are you and how long have you been on the waiting list? Just interested as I have been on the list for 29 weeks and I am demented.
