I am wondering if having dental work done and taking prednisone will make me bruise easy? Yesterday I had teeth pulled and a top denture plate, it looks beautiful , but my face and eye is real black and blue. Eye black and half my face. It's really bad.
Pred can make you bruise more easily yes. Never heard of anyone getting a bruised face though - ouch and how embarrassing!
If you can get to a chemist get some arnica cream - brilliant for bruises and should speed up it going. I use homeopathic globules of arnica too and I believe they help - whatever is said about homeopathy and I am a sceptical scientist! Supermarkets might have the cream, H&B and Boots have both.
Hi Cheryl, Poor you. You have just solved something that had been bothering me. I visited the dental Hygienist this week and had really sore gums afterwards. I hadn't connected it with the pred but now it makes sense.
I had ten teeth out,and,was ill for weeks xxx
