This morning had my just colonoscopy. Got diverticular disease in three places.i am feeling horrible a aching feeling in my tummy. Is this normal please.
Hi! So sorry to hear you have DD. Hope you are getting advice and meds to ease the pain. There are lots of good suggestions and recommendations re diet etc on this forum. Check them out. Like you I have constant lower abdomen pain along with flare ups. Having surgery in Jan and hopefully will be back to normal. Good luck x
Maybe your tummy is just a little upset from the starvation and the pre-laxatives. Might have nothing to do with DD
I would agree with Jane; having had a colonscopy in July. Can't be purged so totally and have cameras wandering inside you without some after discomfort......three pockets is good; some people have dozens (I have about 12). Let me pass on my diet tips:- no seeds, nuts; pips or skins so they do not get lodged in the pockets/pouches. I cannot have spicey food or garlic or many "windy" veg like sprouts; some find that onion gives them almost instant pain. I was ill for ten months with ten bouts and ten lots of antibiotics and then began taking high dose (20million) Acidophilis from UK's Holland and Barratt at about £17 a bottle for a 60 day supply - now heading into my fifth healthy month. I keep them in the fridge and take one a day. They have been little miracle workers for me!!...still no seeds; nuts; pips, skins or spices - and NO pain for months!! It's FABULOUS. I hope they will help you and many others so every time I write on here I am shouting ACIDOPHILIS..!!!!
