I've got complicated eyes and had an initial cateract surgery but the iol that was inserted was the wrong perscription so after doing some vision tests they took me back ibto surgery and removed the iol and replaced it with a different strength lens. My concern is that ny vision is now way more cloudy than vefore the first cateract surger ! 
im told that the cloudibnss will disipate over a week but im still rather sceptical and very worried.has anyone else had this right after their surgery?
I think everyone's eyes are complicated! Why let yourself be very worried rather than waiting for the suggested week or so to clear up the cloudiness? If you can think of anything in the entire history of the world which has changed orf the better as a result of worrying I'd like to hear about it! Take care of yourself and I hope it all turns out ok< but the result won't depend on how little or how much you've worried about it!

I'm yet to have a surgery, but from what I've read so far vision gets better with time and it's rather normal that it's not OK right after the surgery.
By the way it's a shame they implanted you with a wrong IOL, I'd be really angry

just went for my pre op. Still on the fence on whether or not to go thru with this or put it off another year or so. Most of what I have read says there is some adjustment period. Although I hadn't heard about cloudiness before, more like blurriness. Incredible how they can make such a mistake as to give you the wrong prescription. surgery is daunting enough without having to deal with someone else's error. But the good news is that almost always, from what I have read, it is not so great right after surgery and gets better afterwards so I think the odds are in your favor that your vision will improve.
Mine was blurry the day of surgery, much better the next day, then crystal clear the following day (for distance which is the kind of lens I got). I can't believe they got the wrong lens! But mine was not complicated. I hope this works out for you very soon.
I have had both cataract surgery to both eyes. Thr first one vision was crystal clear the next day. The 2nd one which more difficult was a bit blurry at first tooks a few days to clear then gradual improvement.

Had surgery 2 weeks ago and eye is still blurred/cloudy I am hoping it clears,if not then my vision will be worse than before Help! Other eye was fine immediately.
Hi again. Have just been for post-op. Still blurry. Apparently even though calculations are done scientifically there is still a risk of lens being incorrect. Hence i have been given a shortsighted lens in a long-sighted eye. Have to see another surgeon with a view to rectifying this. Possibly with laser. More time and hassle and i cannot see properly to do anything
What do you have now for a each eye?
I was given a "shortsighted" lens for one eye which is great.My other eye is naturally long-sighted so the idea was to return me to the position i was in before cataracts ie no glasses at all. I have never needed glasses until cataract developed in short-sighted eye. Now everything is blurred. I cannot see clearly at all.
So u only had one eye done with a near sighted monofocal lens and the other eye, which is naturally far sighted, you had no surgery done, right? Then u can still see out of the far sighted eye but not out of near sighted one, right? Before the problem developed , u were fine with one near and one far?
Sorry think i have confused you.Had one short-sighted eye and a short-sighted lens fitted.-Great- Second eye was long-sighted and good-Cataract was removed and a so called zero lens put in [as my long-sight was good] and now i cant see because it is very blurred. Surgeon phoned tonight.I have to see the consultant again and if necessary he will remove zero lens and put in another. I do not fancy another operation.Told that although lens are calculated scientifically there is still a possibility of them not being perfect. Hence i appear to have been given one which is a bit short-sighted. Not good in a long-sighted eye. What a mess!
I'm so sorry to hear this. Please keep us posted. That is so unfortunate. I hope they are able to fix this.
Update:
The cloudiness I was experiencing after my cateract operation was/ is cornea imflamation. I've been on steroid eye drops three times a day since my operation 2 and a half weeks ago. Apparently it can take around 2 months for the imflamation for thos who hav eit to go down completely and i don't think mine has yet as the cloudiness comes back to a lesser degree/ my eye starts aching and twitching if i miss a dose or two of the eye drops.
Other than this imflamtion the outcome of my surgery was good and i can see way better than before (they also corrected a bit of my short-sightedness
