Just had dosage increased to 45mg

Hi

I have been on Mirtazapine now for about 7 months, I started out on 15mg a day for about a month, then my physc doc upped it to 30mg a day, I was doing ok on that dose but over the past 3-4 weeks it seems to be losing its effect and I am stating to go downhill fast with my depression. So they upped it to 45mg for me today, I just hope that this increased dose will sort it out and I'll start feeling normal again soon, and hope that this doesn't \"start to lose its effect\" after a while. Has anyone else had this problem?

Your dosage of 45mg seems to be within the normal recommended range. However I wonder if anyone knows the maximum recommended dose as the literature seems to imply that overdoses are OK!!!

My understanding is that 45mg is the maximum dose, however I know of one person who is currently being prescribed 90mg.

I had been told 45mg is max dose but Ive been on it since 22 oct and I still feel nothing so maybe they should try more for me.

They seem to think psychotherapy will help but talking hasnt worked so far. :roll:
