Just had the surgery and the consultant has come around, I asked her what's been done and she said they made a small incision on the front all and one on the back wall of the vagina and tightened it up?
I was under the impression that they cut all the way up the vaginal wall?
I think it depends what they do, where the cut is. Wait until tomorrow and ask again when the surgeon comes to visit. Keep in touch if only for a chat, we're all here for you. Best wishes, Ellie UK
If you had an excellent urogynaecologist then they would only cut you as far as was necessary to achieve the repair. They don't slice around just for the hell of it. That's great if they didn't need to cut too extensively. Depends also on what Grade of prolapse you had prior. I'm sure they've still achieved a great repair and just take it as very lucky that you weren't hacked about.
