Just had the surgery...please help!

Just had the surgery and the consultant has come around, I asked her what's been done and she said they made a small incision on the front all and one on the back wall of the vagina and tightened it up?

I was under the impression that they cut all the way up the vaginal wall?

What surgery were you expecting to have?

Anterior and posterior I believe because I gave a prolapse of the bladder, bowels and the womb!

They also did something to my pelvic floor? X

Anyone please?? Xx

I think it depends what they do, where the cut is. Wait until tomorrow and ask again when the surgeon comes to visit. Keep in touch if only for a chat, we're all here for you. Best wishes, Ellie UK

Confussed Lauajadey, didn't you just post you were 16 days post op?

Thanks Ellie, will ask in morning.

I've got the massive pack in at the moment so can't feel anything other then that! XXXX

No Tilly? I had the operation a few hours ago maybe I've mistyped! Xxxx

Hi Laurajadey, maybe I misread or maybe it was someone else, all the best though

Hi Laura Jadey , it was andrea32615 who posted she wished she never had the surgery , hope you haven't let that get to you. keep smiling.

Hahaha I wondered what happened xxx

I didn't realise you'd just had your operation. If I'd known I'd say just ask one of the nurses. They have access to your notes.

If you had an excellent urogynaecologist then they would only cut you as far as was necessary to achieve the repair. They don't slice around just for the hell of it. That's great if they didn't need to cut too extensively. Depends also on what Grade of prolapse you had prior. I'm sure they've still achieved a great repair and just take it as very lucky that you weren't hacked about.
