I have been on mirtazapine for around 4 Months 7.5 15 30 Now 45mg for over a week and my anxiety is worse than ever will this settle down?
has it worked at all ?
hello, increases in anti deps tend to initially increase anxiety for 2 to 3 weeks, before it settles down. happened every time with my increases. sometimes though, it doesnt settle down, and can get worse, and stay like it. an increase of 15mg of mirt is quite high compared to other anti deps. its 33% of the maximum dose, whereas most other anti deps you increase by 25%. you could drop to 37.5mg instead, which will give you an increase, just not as much, but getting used to 37.5mg should be easier than 45mg. if the anxiety gets worse, then drop to 37.5mg. if its bad, but not worsening, try to stick with 45mg.
Nigel is spot on. That is my experience as well with Mirtazapine. It's strange that Mirtazapine only comes in 3 doses as the responses to 15, 30 and 45 can be very varied. A pill cutter is a must when negotiating changes with Mirtazapine in my experience.
If you bin on it for 4 months reduce slowly then stop taking it and bye a antihistamine called sominex/phenergan it will stop all withdrawal from mirtazapine and it will stop anxiety sominex /phenergan is not addictive the owill only get withdrawals from if you take it for years Remember this the human body connot build a tolerence up to antihistamines its impossible so your 1000000% safe on phenergan Mirtazipine is the worst drug withdrawal out there get of it before you build a tolerence up for mirtazipine its a long dirty withdrawal remember doctors are full off shit
