So my story so far diagnosed december 24th 2016 after a year of symptoms very stubborn and stupid of my self and I knew something was wrong with me I was a assistant pub manager and electrical college student at the time and had my heart set on my dream job of a electrician but after finishing my course that year ready for lvl 3 via a apprenticeship nobody wanted me no company would even return my emails and calls I was told nobody will help you as your not got government funding because of your age 24/25 so I have never qualified and in December got the new I had uc after a stay in hospital with a moderate severe flare I was put on maslazine 800mg Mr release 3 times a day steriods from hospital so came off them and was ok till around march 2017 when I noticed symptoms agin and didn't feel well went to my gp and he just gave me piles medical treatments few blood tests and nothing this went on and I was working around April of 2017 where I went on sick notes for work and was on sick note from my gp for 11 months not once in the 11 months did my gp say anything about going for test and try to help eventually family members helped and in January 2018 I have a stay in hospital with a serious flare was in a week and my medical treatment has been improved 4 maslazine 1.6 grams 800mg 3 times a day and I have just started azathioprine 5mg daily but will be increased 2 15 mg soon and currently on steroids

Looking for help advice been trying to get my gp to do there job they are so bad crap told them I was have a hard time getting fired up p****d of dipression ect but ingnor me and change the subject game me a website and call this number I'm trying to get under framework my mum's under and there really good she said also as of 2 days ago im now unemployed my job was to phisical and I'm sure was making me ill and or something I have applied for esa and pip and advice with these services would be greatly appreciated I feel so embarrassed to be applying for these services I'm 27 years old I should be working but my doctor's and nurses recommended that I get a less physical job so I'm hoping to do some course or volunteer for free experience id like to work in recruiting helping others find work and long time employment when ready at the moment I'm recovering from a serious flare that my flag markers in my blood should be around 5/11 mine where as high as 123.3 my consult shown me at my appointment and said it was very close to surgery but your week stay in hospital has thing working and seem to be ok apart from the high BP and rapid heart rate something I've noticed recently to but this story so far any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks for reading

First, I'm sorry to hear what you have been going through with your career and health problem.  I have been going through the same thing for the past year or so.  I also have Ulcerative Colitis - a 6-month long Ulcerative Colitis induced by the side effects of an acne medication (Accutane / Isotretinoin).

Fortunately, I was able to find a cure, and I'm now in remission, and I hope and know that it will help you, so you can have your life back!

Background medical history:

about 1 year ago (Feb 2017), I was put on a 6-month plan of this prescription medication named Isotretinoin for acne. A few weeks after that, I started to experience gastrointestinal problems (e.g. watery stool, hemorrhoid, and sometimes bloody stool). I stopped taking the medication and started eating yogurt and drinking probiotics, and within 2-3 days, the stool no longer had blood. I took a break from the meds, and resumed it after a few weeks, and just cycled on and off every 2 weeks.

Then around in July of last year (5 months in), I began having severe symptoms like I had before. At this point, I quit the Accutane completely. I also resumed the yogurt and probiotics. Everything seemed to have been back normal again after a week, except for a mild case of chronic hemorrhoid.

Recurrence of symptoms:

Approximately two weeks ago, all the symptoms, including DAILY bloody stool and rectal bleeding, came back without a clear cause. However, this time, the symptoms did not improve at all with probiotics. After two weeks, I was faced with a dilemma:

1) Seek conventional treatment that would involve the use of more synthetic medications, such as corticosteroids that just suppresses the symptoms and the immune system, that make the body even more susceptible to infection (the very cause of colitis in the first place!)

or 2) Seek a treatment that involves the use of natural medicine.

THE SEARCH FOR A NATURAL REMEDY AND THE CURE!!:

I started doing tons of research, and tried everything from turmeric to omega-3 (fish / flax seed oil), and combined everything with a daily eating of up to 64 oz of yogurt for the probiotics (!) but NOTHING WORKED!

Fortunately, I came across a research article on Nigella sativa (black cumin seed) oil and its ability to inhibit the growth of Closstridium difficile (the bacteria that causes colitis!) and other pathogenic microbes and viruses. This gave me the confidence to give this oil a try. I started with 2 teaspoons of N. sativa oil (100% pure) at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and before bed. To my amazement, within just two days (!!!), my stool is no longer as bloody and the rectal bleeding is nearly gone!

So Zemus... if all of the conventional treatments are not helping, TRY THIS! This oil has been used in food in the Mediterranean, Middle East, India, and South Asia for centuries, and it is VERY safe!!!

You can still continue your conventional treatments, but you should start incorporating this Cumin seed oil into your diet.  It's an oil that you can add to your salad, bread, or any other food. Add 2 teaspoons to your breakfast, lunch, dinner, and take 2 more teaspoons before bed.

I need to repeat this again:  I was having heavy rectal bleeding and bloody stool EVERY DAY for 2 weeks straight, and as soon as I started taking Cumin seed oil, the bleeding is nearly gone!!!  In just 2 days!!!

Cumin seed oil is easy to get. I got mine on ebay, 2 fl oz (60ml) for $6.99. This is a very small amount and was gone in 3 days. I suggest you go to an Indian market and look for this oil (ask for Kalonji oil) or go to a Middle Eastern market and ask for "black cumin seed" or "Habbat ul Sawda" oil (the name that it is known by).

I Within 2-3 days, you will see a difference!  But don't stop taking the oil.  Keep it in your diet, so that the problem is gone for good.  In addition, this oil has numerous other health benefits (Google), so keep eating it!

Hi Zemus90 just seem your posting. Sorry you’re having a rough time & your plans are ‘on hold’ at the moment. I don’t know where you are posting from but there is indeed a uk website for Crohn’s & Colitus sufferers. They have a person on the end of a phone line that can answer your questions & give you support both practical & emotional. Or you can post your question & they will email you back usually within 48 hours. I have found them really useful especially when feeling confused about my illness & alone. First of all you need to get your condition under the best  control via your IBD team at your hospital. Your own gp may not have the specialist knowledge. Do you have an Ibd clinic, Ibd nurses & a phone number to contact them directly? I personally believe stress can play a major part in having flares & then that causes stress So it is vicious circle. Don’t keep pushing yourself to do too much until you are well. I know people who do physical jobs ie. gardener, police. I think you will get back to your dreams it may just be delayed a little. B x
