I've been getting hemiplegic migraines on and off for the last 2-3 months and the general migraines ive been getting are seemingly getting worse depite being upped to 50mg of Amitriptyline...

I asked about getting an official Fibro diagnosis and the dr said if i had a rheumatology review in 6 months i can wait for that one- but i can't!

The aches and pains, the brain fog and the migraines are getting so bad because i'm trying to work and it's getting worse because of the stress..!

I really don't know what to do anymore sad 

Feel like giving up!

I've had this and I made an emergency appointment today and broke down in there now I'm on tramadol and 30mg if anetriptoline and a referral thank god see another doctor maybe or just Have a break down like me

I hear you, it's really rough, it feels like you have to put yourself on the line before anyone will take any notice, but well done for having a rant!

Are you able to see another dr at your paractice. if not go back to your gp and just tell them straight you cannot take any more and you cant wait 6 months to see the rheumatologist if you can break down in front of them, seems like its the only way to get any where with these flaming drs. if  possible take some one in with you to back you up on how bad you are. when we are stressed worried it makes our condition 10x worse. dont loose heart weve all been their fight thats what weve all done to get any where.. take care gentle hugs x

THat medication effected me with horrible migraines. I hope you can stop them to sort out if it's he meds or something else.

foods other meds and stress can amuse hem as well. there ae also meds for migraines that work very well if it's not from the meds you are on. 

Check with your doctor.

Just insist on help, it seems the only way you can get the medical profession to take you seriously. All the advice given by the others is so true. Good luck and we are here to support you.

Thank you everyone, it's really helpful to know i'm not on my own!

Work have pretty much given me the ultimatium and said if i'm off sick again i'm fired but truth is, i don't really think i'm fit for work anymore I can't promise i won't be off sick again but i can't just quit and have no money coming in..

Any advice?
