Starting a couple years ago i started getting sick when i got hot. Just felt kind of dizzy could cool off and be fine. About 9 months ago i got what i thought was sick it seems like it may have been a panic attack while duck hunting doing something i really enjoy. I could not work for 3 months i felt so bad no doctors found anything wrong with me they said it was a mono like illness and would pass with time. I had rapid heart rate, blood pressure of 150-90 which mine is usually perfect , shortness pf breath, tired all the time, brain fog, chest pain, stomach pain, body aches and pains, back pain, headaches, dizziness especially when i get hot but not every time, couldnt really eat, i lost 15 pounds as i was very physically fit but now i fee like i am so tiny. I am 29 years old i have worked construction my whole life and never had any issues. I have been to a cardiologists neurologist pulmonologist gastrologist urologist 5 Gps. They have done countless blood work and test. Heart fine, lungs fine, nothing in bloodwork, diagnosed me with gerd though i never have heart burn, hiatal hernia, low testosterone which is back withing range now without treatment. Slightly low vitamin d but within normal range. Checked for autoimmune such as lupus and found nothing. Everyday i struggle to eat hurt feel sick to my stomach nauseous which comes and goes tight chest comes and goes frequent urination headaches tired brain fog lack of focus random body pains and generally just not happy about how awful i feel and how little i can do. I barely can get through work everyday come home feeling worse and my wife basically does everything for me and i believe its starting to get to her seeing me like this. I in now way want to be sexual with her because i feel so bad and have no answers they tell me anxiety but i have never been a stressful person never had an issue with anxiety. I have always been laid back didnt care for much i did what i want when i wanted always had plenty of money. I got a house and got married to a great girl but it just feels my body is literally failing and no one can tell me why. I try not to think about it but its constant symptoms with little relief and i am absolutely miserable. I changed jobs which did not help they tried paxil which i had allergic reaction and buspirone did nothing i am not sure what to do at this point the doctors think i am a hyperchondriac.
The symptoms you are describing sound just like what I’ve been going through since March of this year. They also tell me it’s anxiety but it’s unreal to me that I can be so miserable and in so much pain and it’s anxiety. I hope things get better for you.
I hope the same for you…i just want to be able to work without being miserable and provide for my family i cant even pretend i am happy with the way this is going for me at the moment. I have never been truly sick my whole life until now.
This is probably a really dumb question but did they include Thyroid and B vitamin tests? I’m waiting for my results but I’m having most of your symptoms. One that caught my eye is you get sick when its hot. Thyroid hormones regulate your reaction to heat or cold, if you levels are off it can cause you to even get fevers when its hot. I’m currently on Propranolol to slow down my heart rate and block adrenaline while we wait for my lab results but my doctor said it seems like Thyroid or other biological deficiency/toxicity. The Propranolol has me feeling almost 100% normal except I got weird vision issues that remind me something is wrong.
Hi Josh, our son has been having similar to you but not all your symptoms such as the weight loss. Like you he feels as though his body is failing him. He has had many tests done which all come up negative. They are now saying they think he has fibromyalgia which is not easy to test for though with my other daughter-in-law through certain tests by pressing on certain points they did confirm this is what she had. I have M.E. which is similar and i wake up with nausea and come over hot every morning. Ask if you can be tested physically to rule out fibromyalgia. I would suggest you also have your testosterone and thyroid levels looked at as well.. Hope you get this resolved, not much of a life is it. And to be made to feel like your a hypochondriac def wont help either but sadly many have been put in this category when all else fails to come up with a proper diagnoses.
My testosterone was low but it back within range my thyroid was within range too. They havent specifically said anything about ME or fibro but every doctor i have gone to has said i am perfectly healthy which is not the case. I am not sure where to go all of them keep saying anxiety/depression i have spent every dime i had saved up going to doctors with no answers to why i am like this except blame it on all mental.
I have the same symptoms as you, except the dizziness, for a year. I have been taking Duloxetine and Alprazolam for 29 weeks, I feel 80% better. Some people afraid to take Alprazolam because of addiction. For me, it helps me to live without suffering until Duloxetine gets full effects.
do they just say anxiety
Magnesium deficiency? It can not be blood tested because it is actually stored in the muscles and bones.
Too much stress or sodium intake releases Mg from your body and creates similar things just like you said.
What about Helicobacter Pylori? It causes nausea, can not eat because you feel full. Can effect muscles because stomach is in connection with the central nervous system. I know you said you went to gastro but still was that testes?
It might be metal poisoning or some sort of mineral deficiency I would look into that. If not find a good hypnotherapist.
never checked or said anything about magnesium no helicobacter pylori in stomach or stool checked my heavy metals lead was kind of high but not terrible
One day I felt very weak and stayed at bed for 1 week. After this one week in bed I took a Mg-Ca-Zn pill and after 30 minutes I was out of the bed and fine! ?? It was a real shocking moment for me. But Mg deficiency is real.
Also, Pb poisoning can cause a lot of symptoms.
I am glad that you do not have h pylori.
Do you have muscle cramps? It can give a hint. Any muscle!
If you are low on magnesium for a long time and it becomes magnesium deficiency, which is rare, you may have:
Poor appetite
Nausea (sick to your stomach) and vomiting
Sleepiness
Weakness* sounds like you?*
Extreme cases can cause muscle spasms and tremors (shakes that you can’t control).
Over time, low magnesium can weaken your bones, give you bad headaches, make you feel nervous, and even hurt your heart. It can also lead to low levels of other important minerals like calcium and potassium. Source is another website.
No my biggest problem is i feel out of breath and chest pain sometimes dizzy i do get tremors but not really bad i will try some magnesium and see if it helps though. I thought about doing a chelation therapy for the lead but the doctor said they did not think it would make much of a difference if any at all.
I had horrible headaches and chest pains. I went to hospital. After many pictures and test on my brain and heart. They let me go home with a paper said Generalized Anxiety Disorder and a few pills Alprazolam.
When I suffer from Mg deficiency I am short of breath and dizzy. I feel chest pain too.
I do not know anything about chelation methods therefore I can not comment on this. But I can recommend you to take some probiotics. Also it is said that garlic, cilantro and selenium can help with chelation of heavy metals. Selenium is very important for men. Did you get tested for Selenium levels? It prevents hair loss too.
I think you can start with a checklist and try each one of them one by one to see how it works for you.
I tried cutting off coffee and then tea, then fish for heavy metals etc. Now I am better. Especially when I take Mg.
I was using a multivitamin but I stopped taking it because I am not sure how my body reacts to those combinations…
When you take Mg make sure to take the right one because not all mg supplements can be absorbed by your body. If you get gastrointestinal problems after taking mg it means that you have enough of it in your body that’s how I regulate my dose.
I hope your problem is as simple as that and start with a small dose and see if it works. Too much mg can harm you and you can poisoned please make informed choices in that sense. I am not a medical doctor therefore I can not tell you that this will work or how much you should take it is your own decision to do so or not.
Let me know how your progress is please. I will be happy to hear good news from you.
30 minute walking and clean eating is as important.
One more note: Check all your pots, pans: If you use teflon, aluminum, copper avoid using them. Do not wash plastics in your dishwasher, use a filter if you drink tap water. Try to be careful about these stuff.
