Just squeezed this out of foreskin and don’t know what to do

this has been on my foreskin the past couple of months

today, i noticed it managed to pop somehow and squeezed out white puss and this:

it now looks like this:

im worried about what i should do to treat it now and make sure it doesnt come back. is there any over the counter products i can apply to it to make sure it isnt infected

Dear ryan,

This is (was) a sebaceous cyst. Unfortunately there’s a chance of it returning unless the entire capsule is removed, not just the cheesy material you managed to squeeze out. There isn’t really much point doing more DIY surgery now and you should just allow it to settle.

If it returns and gets to the same stage or larger than the first photo, try to see your doctor and see if they are willing to excise it under local anaesthetic. Often, the bigger it is the easier it is to remove.

thank you for the response. i think i was able to remove all of it. what is DIY surgery? is it serious?

DIY = do it yourself! Not recommended. See a doctor if the problem recurs.
