Hi there. We are all in various stages of waiting or post op recovery. You will learn all sorts of useful things here. Don't be afraid to ask. I am 5 days post-op so still early days for me!
I am 14 weeks post op now and feeling just great, although still being careful. Hope everything goes well for you and don't be afraid to ask questions if there is anything bothering you.

Thanks everybody! . I am 56 in August also also diagnosed with MS so i hope this doesn't effect my recovery too much.Acupuncture and Scenar has kept me free of pain up to now but the Arthritis is still there. (Caused by motorcycle RTA in 1979 ) so time to rebuild me π

Just wondering do we get a choice of make of hip on NHS?
I asked for a pink one but no joy habha . Sorry just my sense of humour . I didn't think to ask was so glad to be having it done at last .

You can try but it's usually your surgeon that will make the decision based on longevity of the hip and suitability to a persons health.
I thought about this but actually, I want the surgeon to use the type he's most comfortable with.
