Hi guys!
Just wanting a bit of information to a question.
So, I went to the doctors the other day because I had what appeared to be a small pimple on my lip (had pus when squeezed) and healed into a scab. I've never had cold sores before but I did express my fear of herpes to the Doctor, she cut the scab and took it for testing.
That was 3 days ago (she told me test results take about 2 days and that she would only call if something was wrong) so I think I'm in the clear, however I just would like to know a few things.
Would it be possible that this scab was tested for both strands of HSV? And if this came back negative on both, does this mean I am clear of the virus or is it only specific to that sample?
