Keep Clearing Throat and voice crackly

Has anyone else experienced this. Throat feels tight, lots of the thlegm stuck in throat, I keep trying to clear it. And my voice feels crackly. I'm frightened!!

Post-nasal drip maybe. Do you have asthma or allergies? It sounds like it could be an upper respiratory infection of some sort.
