Hi I am really struggling with my anxiety at the moment keep feeling like I am going to stop breathing at any minute does anyone else have that feeling? If so how do u deal with it?
When you feel like this, lie down, take a slow deep breath in through your nose feeling your stomach rise. Notice how the air feels going in your nose and down through your lungs. Then slowly breathe out through your lips as though you're blowing out A candle. Notice how the air is slightly warmer when you blow out then when you inhale in. Do this several times. The purpose for this is to bring yourself to the present moment and calm down your mind and brain.
you have complete control over this!
if your having a panic attack in need of immediate help, you can go to YouTube and search panic attack emergency and they will guide you through it. There are several to choose from.
you will not stop breathing! Your body automatically breathes for you. Anxiety symptoms cannot hurt you. They feel weird and uncomfortable but that is all.
don't let fear take you over. The important thing is to calm the entire body down and I listen to audio meditations on YouTube for anxiety or getting a good nights sleep. I think they could really help you!

Yes I have these feelings also. It feels like I will forget to breathe. We wont. Our brain is wired up so that we dont even have to think about breathing, we do it automatically. The other thimg I do is constantly yawn so that I take a full breath. Sometimes I feel like I cant. Another anxiety symptom. To take control of your breathing, breathe in for the count of 4 through nose, hold for 2, then exhale for 4 out of your mouth. Continue until you feel your breathing properly again. When we feel like we cant breathe its actually the opposite and we are over breathing or breathing too quickly. YouTube has some breathing exercises you can watch also. X
