Ladies beware of this injection i have found out this can cause bleeding after the menoapuse this is what has happened to me and yet the doctors are still denying it can happen but its lised as a side effect i had this injectoin on the 22April and ten days later i start bleeding again after not having a peroid for 2 years !! i feel so angry that they are allowed to get away with not telling you this can happen !!

you think the doctor would know this it states it in the info .. on kenalog 

Menstrual irregularities may occur and in postmenopausal women vaginal bleeding has been observed. This possibility should be mentioned to female patients but should not deter appropriate investigations as indicated.

At least you have a good idea of what has caused it and the side effect will wear off, the annoying thing is your Dr denying any knowledge of it.

Thank you Helen and i am really miffed about the docs denying the side effects now i dont know how long i am going to have to put up with having peroids after 2 years of bliss !!

Thank you so much hun for your reply and your helpful informatoin  i even phoned the hospital and asked if bleeding could be the course from me having Kenolog and of course their reply is no its nothing we have done surprize thay dont want to admit it is !! i think more women should be warned before having this injectoin and another side effect i have had is the red face cannot sleep !!

I guess they are not true periods so you can console yourself that it is just a side effect and will go as quick as it came.

I really hope so Helen at 56 i dont want to put up with it anymore i have arthritis and fibro as well so when i thought i was done with the monthlies iwas over the moon !! lets hope this bleeding goes just as qiuck as it started !! i appeciate you taking time to reply to my post

I went to the doctors and told him about kenalog was the cause of my bleeding he just laughed and said how can a injection in your foot do such a thing!! I was in tears to say the least why is it men doctors think that just because you are a woman that these things cannot happen from my understanding your feet can pressure points for different parts of your body and if that injection was done in such a spot it will do something funny I was not bleeding before I had the injection!!

Thank you so much for posting this. I just found this thread and I am so glad because I got a kenalog injection a few weeks ago for an allergy, and I haven't had a period in over a year because of the kind of birth control I'm on, my doctor said thats totally normal. But anyway now I've been spotting on and off even though I'm on the hormones in my pill, and I'm totally freaked out because I haven't had one in literally years. And now this. But I feel so much better seeing other people have this issue. How long did it take for it to stop for you ladies?

omg me too x i got it for arthritus and a few days late i bled like ive never bled before .my periods were always so light this was just like a river , so bad i am having an ultra sound this afternoon to see if its anything else x never again.10 days later the doc gave me tabs to dry up the blood x i am so tired and weary now though
