I am 35 years old. My father had PKD and i am getting checked my Kidney functoning every year.
Till now for the last 7 years all the reoprts are normal.
But in the usg scan report kidney size varies every time:
in 2011: 94 mm, 101 mm
in 2015: 105mm, 101 mm
in 2016: 95mm, 97 mm,
in 2017: 103mm, 106mm,
in 2018: 105mm, 101mm.
These tests are done at different labs.
What could be the reason for chnage in sizes? do i need to go for CT scan?
I am 37 and with PKD. If your taking care of your diet, you should not have any negative readings in your blood report till 50. Diet is very important, specially eating less quantity is the best way to go.

what were initial symptoms?
what tests confirmed you pkd?
You have high bp? are using medicine for high bp? do you feel pain becz of the cysts?
Pkd runs in our family. My dad his mother and two sisters had Pkd. There is lot of information on the net for Pkd unlike 20 years back. Avoid tea, coffee,chocolates, seafood and spicy food. Believe me, you can still avoid these food and stay healthy and look good. Bp is common with pkd. Better to take medicine if there is slight increase in the reading. I have not tried to measure the cysts because it hardly helps. I do yearly kidney function test. Best option is good diet and daily 30 minutes walk would help a lot. Daily two to three litres of water is a must

I am not a pkf patient. I am not asking for any tips to stay healthy with pkd.
What difference it will make for you when I was diagnosed with pkd. You are in the blog because we all are diagnosed with pkd. Getting some tips to survive is better off than investigating.
I am sorry I am not diagnosed with pkd. Just went for general checkup. And I think u got me wrong.
If you are not diagnosed than you are lucky and take care. There are no early symptoms for pkd. Only routine check up will show cysts on the kidney. Ultrasound or MRI
