4 weeks ago I had a LTHR after an accidental fall at my daughters home. There was no getting prepared for surgery since it was emergency surgery. They had me up and walking the same day and was sent home 2 days after surgery. When I got home I had no appetite at all. The nurse came to the house 2 days later and saw that I was in a lot of pain after she gave me my blood thinner shot. She told me I had to go back to the hospital. They took a scan of my stomach and found an acute perforated duadenal ulcer, so off to surgery for another emergency surgery. My abdominal surgery was apiece of cake accept for the 27 staples up my abdomen.
I.ve been doing physical therapy at home and everything has been going great until yesterday. I was walking with my walker and I got a sharp pain in my left leg just to the right of the knee cap. The more I walked the worse it got. Sharp stabbing pain. If I didn’t have the walker I would have gone down. If I don’t put any weight on it I have no pain. But that really isn’t an option. Can’t decide if I should call the doctor or ice and wait. But right now I don’t want to hear something else is wrong and need another surgery. I amstrong and tough but enough is enough! Anyone know what could be the cause of the knee pain? Why after a month since surgery’s? Soooo frustrated right now
