Simple question. When can u kneel to garden
Hi Sassybees, I like to think soon, my garden needs to be put to rest for the winter, so I'm not sure about kneeling, due to the fact that I have 2 knee replacements, & 1 new hip. I don't think knee's are ever the same as the real ones, but my garden tools helped me "walk" through to do the planting this past spring yes I love my hoe, we were best friends LOL !!!
Hi Sassy,
I am four months after op ( right hip replacement) and I have been kneeling in the garden in the last few weeks...The difficult part is to come up after kneeling, I need to hold on to something or somebody! I use a kneeler from Argos catalogue, it has handles and I hold on to those. But i's a bit of a struggle to stand up...every single muscle is stretched and sore...The pleasure of being able to do some gardening helps me to overcome the disconfort I feel. If you are a keen gardener you can do it!!!
Best wishes
Ella
Hi Sassy!
Garden or church, yea it does take time! Yes as does the getting up after too....
at 6 months I've got some sense of ease in kneeling now, but not crouching to pull up a dandelion as yet, and can get up without holding on....
Onwards and upwards! liike the crocuses I'm planting too...

Hi ella. No not a keen gardener at all. The weeds are thigh high!!! ...summer is coming fast. .. unlikely but snakes love a messy yard.
Hi Sassybees
I am 10 weeks tomorrow and can't kneel or squat down
yet , I am still going upstairs doing the good leg op leg
method as I still find it abit painfull on my knee to put all weight
on it going upstairs
