Hello everyone! This is an update of my previous post. So here are the results of my lab tests:
-FBS - Normal (within range)
-Serum Creatinine - Normal (within range)
-SGPT - High
-CBC - Normal (within range) however, eosinophils count is quite high
-Prothrombin time - Prothrombin time
-Free T3 - Normal (within range) but decreased from last result
-TSH - Normal (within range)
I think the above result were good news. However, my ultrasound has brought some good and worse news to me and I'm starting to get worried, if not depressed.
As per ultrasound, my left thyroid lobe which has a nodule has 'given birth' to another small nodule. The old one has not "significantly" increased in size, but it has definitely increased. The new small nodule is cystic but the old one has gone from cystic to a mix of cystic and solid.
To further verify if the ultrasound is correct, my endo recommended me to do a biopsy (last biopsy was when I was first diagnosed in 2008) which she says is a "ultrasound guided biopsy" (she scribbled some words on her endorsement but I can't read it lol). I'll be having the biopsy this monday. She has also given me Thyrax 25mg half a tablet a day which can be taken a day after the biopsy.
There are some improvements on my bloating though. I've been suffering with gas (which I also blame for the bloating since it all started with some stomach gas that I didn't pay attention to), and now my bloating seem to start to go away. I kept on drinking hot drinks and get light massaged every other night on my back. Seems to work since I'm releasing quite amount of gases but I still have that feeling that there's something wrong with some of my organs.
Could it be that one of its cause is my liver? My bloated stomach starts just below my ribs, and, with my SGPT being high could it be an indication that there's something wrong with it? My endo doesn't seem to mind that it was labeled "high" but I don't want to be too complacent.
I'm releasing gas but I still feel some organs are enlarged (God forbid).
