Hello! Nice to see you all.
About a month ago, the week of the 25th in January, I had a rise in bad headaches, migraines if you will. They showed up almost daily and I felt unsually wobbly and gross walking back from school. The night of the 28th, my left ear began to ring. It was very distracting and I had to turn on the fan to get to bed. When I woke up, it was in both ears. We went to urgent care, and they emptied a big wax buildup from my left ear with an irrigator, but this only changed the sound. I had a dull achey pain near my ears that would occasionally become stabbing. The ringing has gone down slightly, it now sounds like a mix of tv static and a rainstick mixed with occasional hissing. Sometimes, It feels like hissing is coming from the inside-out, trying to escape. Despite having no fluid of pressure in them, my ears feel pressurized. For about 2 weeks, I would experience nasty random dizzy spells, almost to the point of fainting. (Not helped by the fact we were disecting cats in phys. at the time and the smell of the preservative was disgusting) These have since calmed down but still linger. Due to my cold-like symptoms on the side, my GP and I assumed it was a sinus infection. At this time, for about 2 and a half weeks, I lost nearly all of my appetite. I rarely ate breakfast, sometimes nibbled at lunch, and never ate dinner. I'd go to bed and stay up tossing and turning with horrible stomaches. My period made everything worse. I lost 11 pounds. We had to fly later for a trip, and I experienced terrible nausea and air-sickness, which I had long outgrown since I was a kid. Same in the car down a only slightly curved road, I felt like I was going to vomit. An appointment with an ENT led to the diagnosis of either Labyrinthitis or some vestibular inflammation, and he put me on a heavy course of anti-inflammatories. I have never had this before... when will I feel like myself again? Will my ears ever feel normal, and stop ringing? Any guess is helpful to me.
