today i was prescribed an official med to treat my anxiety, its a mood stabilizer called Lamotrigine… im curious to know if anyone has taken this medicine before?!! if so how has it worked?

Hi, no I have not heard of this. Am interested though. Ive been on Sertraline for ages which helps, but as I get older my anxiety is more difficult to control.
My daughter is on it she copes fine with it
I took it and did not respond well to it. It made me feel more anxious and i kept having panic attacks. I know some people do fine on it but it wasn’t for me. I was given Quetiapine instead which is another mood stabilizer but I’m not sure as that helped either and have now increased my antidepressants instead. I was diagnosed with Cyclothymia which is a mild form of bipolar and they were meant to stabilise my mood.
