Everyone on this Forum is so knowledgeable. I am asking opinions on which method is safer to remove cataracts. Thank you for everything I have learned.
Studies have shown there is no real advantage to using a laser. The majority of cataract surgeons continue to use a blade. Also, Medicare and most private insurance will not cover laser cataract surgery.
There is no advantage to one method over the other. If YOU have a preference, then choose a surgeon that uses the method you want. DON’T force the surgeon to use the method they are not practiced in. They work equally well in well practiced and skilled hands.
