Last encounter October 1st, Negative test mid January. Bumps appeared.

Hi I've been bugging out because recently, I've found a few bumps around my vagina. I thought it looked like herpes because my friend was diagnosed a year ago. What I don't understand is that the last time I had sex was on October 1st, 2016 and I got tested by both blood test and swab on January 12 and recieved a negative diagnosis. Is it possible to still get a afalse negative after almost 3 1/2 months after infection? Please help me

Sometimes the body takes time to develop the antibodies to be detected.

However, the PCR (swab) test is supposed to be very sensitive.

Your mid january results are conclusive. You are not affected with herpes. The bumps may have appeared du e to some other reason. And, in herpes, you don't develop bumps. you develop blisters and a leision from it.

So relax. Bumps will go away asap. But, For further clarification meet your doctor if the bumps didnt disappear within 2 days.
