I had an acute episode of pain two months ago which put me in hospital for a week. I had an ultrasound which revealed nothing but a dilated bile duct and a distended gallbladder. I haven't had such intense pain since, it eventually subsided. I had my endoscopy last week to rule out an ulcer/hernia. I'm waiting on my consultant but the endoscopy revealed lax cardia. Is this just a fancy name for acid reflux? I'm in pain everyday in my tummy, regardless of what I eat.
Are you taking anything for it? There are plenty of over the counter remedies available. A pharmacist could advise you.
